Stress. It seems like something everyone struggles with today. It used to exist merely to promote survival, but now it’s a regular component of daily life. The nature of work/social/family balance can have stressful moments, and it can have an effect on our wellness. According to The American Institute of Stress (ASIS), 77% of Americans regularly experience physical symptoms caused by stress.

1. Play
You know what they say about all work and no play! Finding a way to play together is a great way to combat stress for the whole family. Whether it’s board games, a video game, or a favorite sport, playing together will help you bond with the ones you love the most while making great memories.

2. Watch a movie
Whether it’s a weekly family movie night or a special once-in-a-while treat, getting lost in a movie together is a good way to escape reality for a little while, which might be just what your family needs. Let each family member take a turn picking out the movie, and don’t forget the snacks!

3. Do a puzzle
Working on a puzzle requires patience and focus, two things that are difficult to do when you’re stressed. Completing a puzzle together as a family can give you a sense of accomplishment and teamwork.
